A martial arts fan’s dream come true
If you’re a fan of martial arts movies like I am, then you’ll be excited to learn that Jet Li and Jackie Chan are teaming up in a new movie called Forbidden Kingdom. I’m a big fan of both these guys. Personally, I think that if the fight were outside the ring, i.e. there were ladders, garbage cans, refrigerators or other random objects laying around, Jackie would win. Anyway, I can’t wait to see them on the screen together.
I love Jackie Chan, but the years are slowing him down. :-( Jet Li is amazing too, but I never liked him as much. He doesn’t have the playful, affable personality that Jackie has.
But what about Chuck and Steven?
Chuck and Steven? Chuck’s like 70 now, so I’d give Seagal the advantage, but if they were fighting in their primes, Seagal wouldn’t stand a chance. Chuck’s not going to leave his hand out and say, “Here, grab my wrist!”
In case you haven’t seen it:

Based on what I’ve read of their training, I’d pick Jet in the street fight…it seems like he has had more true hands on sparring.
From the wiki entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Forbidden_Kingdom) the plot looks great!
Hi Larry, thanks for stopping by! Yeah, Jet has won tournaments in the past, whereas Jackie’s experience is limited to the stage. However, I never cease to be amazed by Jackie’s agility and how he can use just about anything as a weapon.
Casey, I agree. My son and I just watched the part of The Transporter 2 where Jason Stratham uses the firehose to take on a bunch of guys….obviously Jackie’s influence!
I haven’t seen that movie yet. The first one is actually coming on tv tonight where I am. I’ll have to give it a try.
Jackie’s was good in the beginning when he put out movies like Project A but he’s way out of his depth now, and I personally prefer Jet Li.
Man I miss Chuck Norris. I need to go rent some of his old movies again this weekend. :-D
They’ve got Walker Texas Ranger on satellite here in Japan now.
