A black man at my mom’s church told her that if she doesn’t vote for Obama then she is a racist. I told her to tell him that if he doesn’t vote for McCain then he is one too.

Hi Karen,

Yeah, if Jesus had decided not to hang around with sinners, he would have been a loner. We’re all sinners. He did hang around with some of the more lowly sinners, but he did NOT share their views. He tried to change their views. Barack Obama doesn’t try to change the views of the communists, America haters, thugs, terrorists, etc. that he associates with. He shares (or is at least sympathetic with) their views. There’s a big difference.

Thank you! I read your words at Kansas Bob’s. I gave up trying to be reasonable on my blog. I just shut it down for awhile.
You were VERY specific at KB’s, by the way. Comparing who Jesus hung around with and who Obama has hung around with–well, we’re all sinners. We’re not all terrorists and racists.

Dictionary.com defines racism as follows:

1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

I’ve heard the argument that blacks can’t be racist because they aren’t in a position of power or because they don’t believe they’re superior. That’s just semantics. Anyway you look at it, blacks can at least be racist in the 3rd sense, which is the only sense that really matters, anyway.

People are blind not seeing the things that are obvious about Obama, like his ties to this morbid philosophy. Thanks for contributing again and I cannot wait till your next one.

You’re not implying that blacks can be racist against whites are you? But Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton told me that only whites are racist against blacks, but it can’t be the other way around because one race needs power over the other to qualify as racist.

I can’t find any quotes to back that up, but I remember hearing both men say that at one time or another. It’s a shame that millions of people follow these men.
