God never changes in his righteousness or integrity, but he does change. Anything that's living changes, and I believe God is a living God. Jesus humbling himself and taking on the form of his creation is a profound change.

God hasn't "evolved" and He never will. He is all-powerfull, all-knowing, and perfect in every way. There is no reason for Him to ever change. Besides, His holy word clearly tells us that He never changes. Enough said.

I get what he says about this idea of a “tribal god”.. God has always been so much more that Israel's god. I often tell folks that believers are not of the seed of Israel but of the seed of Abraham.. God's people have always been according to faith and not nationality or ethnicity.

That said I probably wouldn't agree with most of what that guy wrote.

I know I haven't read the book meaning I can't judge it perse but here's my take. I don't think there's such thing as evolution of God. Heb 13:8 says God is the same yesterday, today and forever! He doesn't change. What changes was our knowing him and our perception of Him. I don't know if i'm making sense better check that book out.
