Spammers using commenters’ names
Has anybody else been getting spam from impersonators? I keep getting spam posted under the names of regular commenters. I wonder if these are individuals doing this or automated spambots? How annoying.

I haven’t had those problems. You might want to add Disqus to your blog Casey.. that way commenters would know when someone comments using their name.. check Shane’s blog – http://caffeinatedthoughts.com/ for more info.
Not sure why but your blog forgets who I am and lately I usually have to reenter my info.
Happy weekend, Bob
They’re not getting through, it’s just annoying is all. As for the blog “forgetting” you, that is apparently a “feature.” It has been happening ever since I upgraded to WordPress 2.5. I get logged out of the admin panel every 2 weeks or so (the cookies may have a short expiration date on them). Of course, I switched the server’s php to suphp around the same time, so it could have something to do with that. I’ll have to look into it further. There may even be a setting in WordPress.
Came back today and my info was there.. thx! Also noticed the email notify box.. way to go!
Well, your info might get deleted again…I changed the cookie expiration date, so it should keep your information for a year now, but that will only take effect when the cookie is renewed. Have I told you lately, Bob, how much I appreciate your input and encouragement?
I have seen it on some blogs, they usually do it so they can take over the “web address” by just posting 1 comment.
