Power of Schmooze Award
Ladies and gentlemen, I have been selected to receive the Power of Schmooze Award! This honor is only given by others who have received it, and passed on to other deserving recipients. The Power of Schmooze award was created by Mike at Ordinary Folk and Danielle at Pink Reviews to help “recognize those people that were [are] exceptionally adept at creating relationships with other bloggers by making an effort to be part of a conversation, as opposed to monologue.”
The rules:
If, and only if, you get The Power of Schmooze Award, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think, or have schmoozed you into submission. Link to this post and Mike so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
Optional:
Proudly display the ‘The Power of Schmooze Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.
This honor was passed on to me by Dan at Management by God. Dan has a great blog himself, and if he hadn’t been the one to pass the award on to me I’d have listed his blog below.
My list is as follows (in no particular order):
Principled Discovery by Dana
Dana has a thought-provoking blog with interesting insights. I like to spend time on her blog from time to time and give my two cents.
Fundamentally Reformed by Bob Hayton
At first I thought this was an anti-christian blog, because I have always considered myself a “fundamentalist.” I use the Webster’s definition of fundamentalism, which is “a movement in 20th century Protestantism emphasizing the literally interpreted Bible as fundamental to Christian life and teaching.” It turns out that Bob comes from a type of fundamentalist background which is quite problematic, wherein teachers insist on using the King James Version only and promote other misguided views. He makes some interesting points on his blog…even if he is a self-described Calvinist.
Two Write Hands by Em
“Em” has a great sense of humor, and she is a good writer…even if she does say so herself. :-P
Very Short Novels by David B. Dale
As the title of his blog indicates, David writes very short novels. They’re only 299 words long, because “anything more is waste.”
Habitation of Justice by Lincoln Adams
An honest and down-to-earth blog. Lincoln isn’t afraid to share his struggles. He’s had me laughing out loud, too, with some of his observations about the world.

Casey,
Thanks for the award! I guess I do have a talent for schmoozing….
I’ll pass the meme along here in tomorrow’s post, most likely.
Later, bro.
Bob
