If you can’t handle criticism Casey then quit blogging.

What sort of critical thinker are you if you can not look at the obvious flaws in your ideas? You deliberately distort the truth and use scare tactics in your posts.There are no solutions presented in your posts to solve the problems society is facing.I believe in socialized medicine and medicare falls far short of helping those in need as I have explained.This is not inconsistant. IT MUST BE EXPANDED!!!
A true “critical thinker” will question the system identify the flaws and intellegently work on solutions to make the program work. You do nothing of the sort, all you do is critasize the system then try to convince your readers that it is a total failure.

Sorry, Mike. You've proven to me now that you are a troll. I'm not going to respond to straw men arguments from a troll. If you were interested in a rational discussion you would not insist on making false statements about my position (you're well aware that I suggested there may be cases where Medicare and Medicaid are truly necessary) and using hyperbole. Still, the least you could do is put together an internally consistent argument where you're not decrying the lack of care in one instance and then praising it in another.

With the “Baby Boomer” generation reaching retirement age there is no private program that will be able to cover all of our health needs. Our Government will have to be responsible with the taxpayer’s money. If they fail to do so the entire system will go broke and no one will benefit. They will have to do what is best for society as a whole. The sad fact is we are all going to get old & we are all going to die.
In a previous discussion you stated that you are against socialized medicine. Therefore your idea would be to cut Medicare completely. This would eliminate even basic care for people. Under your plan a young person with diabetes would die a premature death if he or she were unable to afford private health insurance or pay for the insulin themselves.
At least President Obama and Senator Daschle have the decency and compassion to offer a plan that will be affordable and workable for society as a whole.

The elderly should beware to be sure, but not just the elderly alone.

This whole thing WILL fundamentaly change America, we should all beawre and be prepared.
