McCain raising profile on pro-life views
McCain is now being more vocal about his pro-life views, presumably because he wants the social conservative vote. If he’d come out against ESC research it would be much easier for me to vote for him. How can people claim to be pro-life and still support research that kills the unborn? It makes no sense to me.

McCain says: “I believe the noblest words ever written,” he added, “are those that said all of us are created equal and endowed with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and ‘life’ means the rights of the born and the unborn,” he said.
Does that include the unborn when they’re really tiny, Senator McCain?
Still, I’ll probably be voting for the first time in my life this year, and that vote will go to John McCain.
Hopefully, with the breakthrough research by Shinya Yamanaka and James Thomson which proves that stem cells can be created from skin cells, ESC research will soon be irrelevant anyway. In fact, maybe it already is: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16470482
