Mike Huckabee could win the Republican nomination
It appears as though Mike Huckabee is rising in popularity. He made a strong showing in the Ames straw poll in Iowa. I’d definitely rather see his name on the ballot than Romney, McCain or Giuliani. My dream ticket would be Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee.
My friend Bob Hayton has a link to a great video on his website showing that Huckabee knows how to charm his political opponents. He had a very friendly conversation with Jon Stewart of the daily show. It’s definitely worth checking out.

What about Duncan Hunter? From what I understand he’s one of the only true conservatives within the GOP mix. I like Thompson too but he seems more moderate than conservative. :-(
An even greater dream, although perhaps far-fetched at least from today’s vantage point, would be Huckabee leading on that ticket!

From what I’ve seen of Fred Thompson, I like him a lot. He seems quite conservative to me. Check out his “blog” in my Blogroll or this interview on Fox.

I doubt Fred would be interested in the VP position. Personally, though, I don’t care which of them gets the nomination as long as it’s one of them and not McCain, Romney or Giuliani.
