Hi Dana,

I agree, it doesn't rule out a genetic factor. It could very well be a combination of genetics and environment. I just don't understand how it would stay in the gene pool, and I disagree with homosexual activists who argue that it is something unchangeable like the color of your skin. I'd say it's more of a choice like someone predisposed to alcoholism choosing not to become an alcoholic or a person predisposed to obesity choosing to eat healthy and exercise. Succumbing to genetic predispositions is not always good for the individual or society.

Still doesn't rule out genetic predisposition. Just pondering here, but from what little I've read on the subject, many homosexuals have similar stories regarding childhood. That would tend to support the idea that it is learned, or related to early childhood experiences, somehow. But many heterosexuals have similar childhoods without those effects.

That has always led me to wonder if it isn't a combination of genetics and environment.

Howdy, Isaiah. Long time no see. :) I think we need to be careful not to paint with too wide a brush. Not all homosexuals are militant or even interested in public policy.

A friend of mine remarked, quite truthfully when you think about it, that since homosexuals cannot have children naturally, they would attempt to take ours. By ours I mean children from society at large.

You see this evidenced in the push to 'educate' children as young as 4 in the UK on the 'diversities' of humankind's sexual inclinations, and even in sex education programs at higher levels of education. Of course the superficial reason is pushing acceptance, and letting children think for themselves by providing alternate views.
