Conviction is difficult. The guilty often walk. My solution: 1st conviction: loss of driving privilege for life, in ALL jurisdictions (including flying, boating, etc.); subsequent conviction: as it requires total disregard for the consequences of the first conviction (i.e., no driving, period, drunk or sober), life in prison without possibility of parole. For such wanton abusers of privilege (which driving is, by the way), perhaps a LUNAR penal colony ought to be considered! DUI laws are too lenient. Conviction is difficult. The guilty often walk.
