He is far more conservative and a better Christian in my opinion. In fact I don’t trust any of the other republicans. McCain is a democrat pleaser who worships the UN. I guess if I had kids I'd probably have some of his books. I do appreciate his ministry, though, and he does have a lot of influence. I understand what you're saying about social and fiscal conservatism. I'm almost willing to forgive Huckabee's fiscal liberalism for his strong social conservatism. I thought I was dead set on Fred Thompson, but now I'm not so sure. I'll still vote for him if he gets the nomination... I don’t really know a lot about Dr. Dobson. I think Gingrich chose his words carefully. He was focusing on the legal definition of perjury, so I don't think it's relevant to question his opinion of lying in general. Don't get me wrong. I don't support a Gingrich candidacy. I still like Fred. He's a down-to-earth guy, and how could I not like him, being from Tennessee myself? I'm not really even endorsing Dr. Dobson's opinions, either. I'm just saying he has a lot of influence. I think Dobson's right on this issue, too. We need a federal marriage amendment.
