My Comments Policy has been published. I basically copied mine from Isaiah’s (hope he doesn’t mind…. :-SS ).

Ha ha, no I don’t, brother. I mashed mine from a few sources as well. :D

Back in September you said this at my place

    “I don’t censor valid comments.”

From your policy it seems that your definition of valid might have changed since September.

Apart from an occasional spammer I have never found the need to delete a comment from either of my blogs. I like diversity of thought and find that a good debate only serves to either make me stronger in my opinion or cause me to realize the folly of it.

I truly don’t like moderated comments. Have you had a bad experience in which you found.. in hindsight.. the need to moderate? Maybe if I have one I might rethink my position on this.

I wonder if you will moderate this comment into the trash? :)

I’m planning to break everyone of your new comment rules. I dare you to ban me too. I double dog dare ya! :D

My definition of valid has always been “something that adds to the discussion.” I attract some pretty strange people, and there are some pretty useless comments stored on my blog. I don’t think it benefits anyone to let people post off-topic comments. Do you think it is a good thing to have the discussion go off on a tangent so that when people are searching for information on Google they come to your site and get taken on a wild goose chase? I welcome different opinions as long as they’re on topic. After all, you can’t have a discussion without different ideas.

Reading through the first paragraph again, however, I noticed an unintended nuance (which is probably what alarmed you), so I have updated it.

You’ve already been banned. I don’t know how your comment got through. :P
