Global warming is real and is caused by humans, disproportionately by Americans. I am never surprised when Pat Buchanan makes outrageous comments like these, but open your eyes people. Where does Pat Buchanan get his information? I think the irony here is that if you replace the words "global-warming" with "the Iraq war," Buchanan's comments make much more sense. Right, wrong, or indifferent I would think homeless people, malnutrition, etc have far more presedence. It's sad when you think about it. I see commercials all the time to help feed the poor in other countries, clothe them and care for them and I do care but there are still many people in the US in the same predicament. Who would have ever thought what you ate for breakfast had moral significance before environmentalism came along? Then add to the basic theory the threat of impending doom, and everything you do becomes infinitely more important. You have the ability to either destroy or save the world, based on what you ate for breakfast. It's a marvelous system, a masterpiece of a value-system. But I think it's too good to be true. Who would have ever thought what you ate for breakfast had moral significance before environmentalism came along?
